About St Issells Table Tennis Club

Welcome to St Issells Table Tennis Club. Based near Saundersfoot at Amroth Village Hall, we provide a warm, sociable, and active community specifically for over 65s of any standard. Whether you are returning to table tennis after years away or trying it for the very first time, you will find a friendly welcome here.

From humble beginnings to a thriving community

St Issells Table Tennis Club started 7 years ago with just 2 enthusiastic members knocking a ball back and forth in a local church hall. Over the years our numbers have steadily grown to 45 active members. To accommodate everyone comfortably and ensure plenty of table time, we relocated to Amroth Village Hall, giving us the space we need to play, chat, and keep active together.

A relaxed environment where connection comes first

Our sessions are completely relaxed and pressure-free. We believe sport in later life should be enjoyable above all else. In fact, our members will often tell you that the mid-session coffee break is just as important as the table tennis itself. It is the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends, share stories, and make new connections.

Join us for your first session

We cater specifically for over 65s of any playing standard, from absolute beginners picking up a paddle for the first time to experienced players. If you would like to come along, simply drop by our session. You are welcome to bring your own bat if you have one, but do not worry if you do not—we are more than happy to lend you a bat to get started.

"Joining St Issells has been wonderful. The games keep us active, but it is the friendly conversation and tea breaks that make it the highlight of my week."
